Transition is always hard...

It has been almost a month since the last post and a lot has happened in that time.  Nathan can flip around while on his back and he loves to blow bubbles with his on spit.  For some reason he also likes to stick out his chunky tongue at us.  We are also loving Mrs Chen more and more while she is taking care of Nathan.  Mrs. Chen takes such good care of us as a family and Nathan that we will always remember her.  Mrs. Chen won't be coming with us to San Diego but we will always remind Nathan of how he was so lucky as a baby and was so well taken care of.  We will always send big hugs to Mrs Chen wherever we are.

Holding onto Mrs Chen so he doesn't fall....

Nathan is ever growing and growing...

Nathan is nothing but full of giggles and laughs with Mommy and Daddy lately.  We cannot get over how fast he has grown and how goofy he can be sometimes.  April marks Nathan being 5 months old and so far he is experiencing the typical baby drooling because of teething and he managed to flip onto his front today for the first time!  We cannot help but cherish every changing moment we witness and we sometimes just want to press the pause button so we don't see Nate grow up too fast.  When we look back to the photos of him being a fresh baked newborn to his goofy pics below we try not to get too sad...where is that pause button again? :(

Bay Area Family Gathering Festivity

It has been a year since our arrival to San Francisco and it was long overdue that we met our second cousin's after all the warm welcoming gestures the Tam family aunties and uncles have shown us.  This past weekend we had a Bay Area Family Gathering and met all the second cousin's that were able to attend.  Nathan enjoyed giggling to all the happy conversations and piped in with a few comments of his own!  A big thank you for Auntie Pat and Uncle Arthur for offering their home for this gathering and to all the great chefs that contributed to the pot luck!  This gathering was one extra step in fostering a continued connection in the family tree.  Pics below to remember the event by.

Lots of great conversations going on...

Fine ladies gracing the gathering!

Conversation over the many many desserts!

The event even involved surprise birthday wishes!
