Happy Holidays everyone and from our family to yours we wish you Good Fortune, Health and Happiness in 2012!
Robert and I have created this blog to keep all our family and friends up to speed on Baby Bubbit. He's going to grow up fast so we need to make sure grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends are always in touch with Baby Bubbit.

Nathan's First Christmas!
So this is Christmas...2011 Christmas is a special one for our family. We have an extra stocking on the mantel this year which makes Robert and I so very very happy. Being in San Francisco for Christmas without any snow and bitter cold weather outside will be a different experience but will always be special regardless because of time with family. Robert and I like the idea of how the three of us make a little family so we plan to make it a special one with special gifts under the tree for Nate, introducing Nate to Santa Claus and showing him what San Francisco has to offer for holiday festivities. We all know how fast time flashes before us so this Christmas we plan to slow things down and cherish every minute we spend together over the holidays!

Baby = Gall bladder Removal
It has been quite awhile since my last post and unfortunately it was all due to gall stones and gall bladder removal! I couldn't believe it myself. Pregnancy for some reason causes gall bladder issues! Who would have known. All is well now and I am gall bladder-less but at least the excruciating pains will no longer return (knock on wood) and I can care of Nathan with a peace of mind. The hardest part wasn't the procedures or the pain but being away from Nathan for 3 nights. Coming home after a long hospital stay I couldn't believe how much he changed. I missed him so much (especially his little feet) but now spending every minute hugging him and kissing him as much as I can. Below are a few updates pics of the little guy (we especially like his faux hawk hair style!).

Day to Day with Nathan
I am a super lucky mom since I get to spend every minute of the day with Bubbit and watch him progress. He is constantly changing and seeing every minute of it is something I will always cherish. Being a mom so far has been rewarding and from what I hear it keeps getting better :) A few pics of Nate as he approaches 1 month old!

Grandpa's Love for his First Grandson
We did a post for Grandma so we must be fair and have a post for Grandpa. Grandpa visited for 9 full days and spent lots of time holding his Grandson and loving the bonding time he had. First month with a newborn are precious moments and both Grandparents got to spend quality time with Nathan. Grandpa enjoyed the cuddling and going "coochie coochie coo" with Nathan. Best part Grandpa even changed a diaper after 30 years being poo clean up free!!! We gave him a C- on execution but A+ on loving the moment. Below are a few pics of Grandpa and his first Grandson.

Nate is growing up too fast...already!
Nate today is 19 days old and we cannot stop holding, looking and cuddling with him. He is such a joy and to be honest been making life easier than what it could be. He only cries when he needs to eat, poop and get burped. Works for us! Robert and I totally adore him and find it so hard to imagine life now without him. Below are a few pics of his early days...taken by Mommy with the new Sony NEX (total product plug) camera just so we can capture all these great moments.

Special Love from Grandma
Robert and I strongly believe in making sure family is a big part of Nathan's life. We especially believe growing up with grandparents is a big part of any childhood's life. I grew up with my Grandma raising me and that bond and love is special. So this blog is for Grandma Lam.
Nathan was lucky to have Grandma come visit a short number of days after his arrival to help with good Chinese cooking and making sure not only Nathan would be well taken care of but Mommy as well. Most impressive part of the visit was when Grandma started changing dirty diapers! Nathan decided to show Grandma how far he could pee...he did pretty well in terms of height and distance :) Grandma will come visit again soon we are sure but the first moments of Grandma and baby bonding are precious.
Here are a few pics of Grandma and Nathan!

How is it possible that Nathan gets cuter and cuter?
Nathan is officially 11 day old and it is nothing but fabulous when people keep saying how darling he is when we are out at either doctor's or local mall. Nate manages to win all the hearts of pretty women around San Francisco. It has been bliss with Nathan at home and we are still trying to figure it all out but we are having a ton of fun doing it. There are definitely things Nate does and doesn't like. Below are a few recent pics to let you know what Nate has been up to.
First day home and in the co-sleeper...we had to compare him to our cordless phone to understand scale.
Nate day 1 at home with his puffy eyes from the labor...Uncle Paul got him the cutest Canada outfit which included this awesome bib! Nate seems to like it.
Mommy was going stir crazy at home so we had to take Nate for his first trip to Target for a good shopping experience.
One thing we cannot stop doing is kissing his soft pudgy cheeks...
On day 10 we had to take Nate to his second doctor's appointment and we celebrated with high five's when we discovered Nate returned to 7 lbs after a slight weight dip after leaving hospital.
We discovered that Nate loves full body massages because this face just says it all!
Thank you for visiting Nate's blog! More to come.

Nate's Fan Club!!!
Who woulda thunk that a little guy named Nate could have such a fan club...he even drew people from the east coast by airplane to visit him on his first few days in the world!
Uncle Ho from NYC teaching Bubbit the way of the Mac world!
Uncle Ho at the hospital meeting Nate for the first time!
Grandma Lam from NJ playing with Nate her first Grandson.
The world of Nate is full of love and lots of fans...more fans and paparazzi we are suspecting!
Nathan Riley Sai Geen Yu Arrives into the World!
Happy Birthday to Nathan Riley Sai Geen Yu (aka Bubbit)!!!
Born November 4, 2011
Robert and I are happy to announce the arrival of Nathan Riley Sai Geen Yu! We took our time in choosing his name and we hope the meaning of his name touches your heart as it does ours.
Nathan = Gift from God
Riley = Courageous
Sai Geen = Chinese for Worldly and Perseverance
Yu = Daddy's Last name of course!
We love him so so much and had to share our experience at the hospital and how Nate entered the world. He was a whopping 7lbs 2oz and 18.5 inches at birth...chunky monkey we call him!
The arrival began with cramps around 2am and my water breaking around 3.45 am. That was quite the experience! California Pacific Medical Hospital was one of the best choices we ever made. The hospital accepted us at 4am and we were well taken care of then on out. At 6am I was nicely dilated and epidural was utilized. Nathan decided he was ready to come out by noon and I pushed for an 1.5 hours and ta da!!!! Nate arrived! The labor was kinda not as bad as I thought it was going to be. With the help of modern medicine I was a "champ" according to Robert.
Below are a few pics for us to remember the big day...
Ready or not here he comes!!!
I'm here Mommy! I've been kicking you for a long time!!!
Epidural plus Blackberry made labor a cinch...really!
Nate you finally made it!!! A little goopey though...
Daddy is loving his little clone...
Nate is living it up like Four Season's style!!!
Easy part over...now home!
Next blog post coming soon!!!

Maternity Photo Fun @ Crissy Field!
It took only seconds to convince Daddy-to-be to do maternity and newborn photos since he doesn't hesitate on any expense for Bubbit. We had some influence from our friends Heather and Kyle to do the photos and we are so glad we did. We had our pregger photo session this past weekend at Crissy Field and we really enjoyed working with the photographer we chose - Darrell Lee - his website showcases his great work. [http://www.darrellphotography.blogspot.com/#!/p/about-darrell.html]. We wanted to remember our time in San Francisco with Bubbit and remind Bubbit how he was made in Toronto, born in San Francisco and the rest of the world is next!
