Bubbit 33 week ultrasound

Today was a very very highly anticipated day!   Robert and I have been waiting for weeks (since week 18 ultrasound to be exact) to see Bubbit again.  So Bubbit decided to be head down and facing my back so he was not in the best position for his photo session but he was ready to come into the world!  As you can see from the 3D photo he wanted to stay discrete - his hands are over his mouth and we believe he was sucking his thumb.   Robert analyzed the ultrasound photos all day and has come to the conclusion that Bubbit looks more like me (yipeeee!)  :)  I comforted him to let him know 3D ultrasounds aren't exact and he will morph over time (but yipeee so far he looks more like me with the round shaped head and nubby nose!).  Bubbit weighed in at 4 lbs 10 oz and his head was slightly under 11cm in diameter (eeek!).  Hope you enjoy this photo since the next one will be of him 'live' from California Pacific Medical hospital.  A few more weeks to go and we cannot wait to meet him.

Bubbit Nursery and Wardrobe Update

Today was a great shopping day for Mom to be.  I managed to nail down a modern dresser that goes well with the crib from Grandma and Grandpa Lam.    We managed to sway ourselves from going IKEA and went for West Elm.  After going to the store and checking out the dresser in person I was very happy with the quality, height and design.  To top it all off we wanted to make sure that little Bubbit and Dad to be connected in wardrobe so we treated Bubbit to a few cute super hero onesies.  How can you resist these cute outfits?!?

Can't wait for him to get this...

I can't wait to get Bubbit his first Mask, it will be awesome....Timbit hockey is awesome and he is going to love the ice.

Ultrasounds - 18 weeks and soon 33 week ultrasound!

We know most of you have seen Bubbit's ultrasound at 18 weeks. He was already like Robert according to Uncle Ho with his hands in a certain position.  Just in case everyone didn't get a chance to see Bubbit at 18 weeks we've included in this blog post a pic.  We have our 33 week ultrasound (last one!) next week Thursday so crossing fingers we get lots of pictures of him!  We cannot wait to see him.

Story behind Bubbit - this might a blog post of it's own but everyone asks why we call our little guy Bubbit?!?  Well, we needed a nickname so the mom to be (that's me) had to come up with a nickname and since Robert is Bubby naturally the son in our family would be Bubbit.  If we had a girl it would have been Bubbette.  

Story behind Bubby - my nickname for Robert is Bubby because he's my hubby but to twist it up a bit and make it bubbly cute had to mix it up and call him Bubby.  Name has stuck all these years!  

We'll see if we keep calling our little guy Bubbit...Bubbit's Auntie Anna likes to nick name him Bubbit Wang after Robert's father!  That has kinda stuck also!  Poor kid isn't even born yet and has a ton of nick names!

It's all about the nursery on week 32...

NURSERY PLANNING - Ready or not here he comes!

Robert and I are in the midst of planning the nursery and trying to figure out the best way to layout the space before the little guy shows up.  Today is the start of month 8 so we have some time to prepare but time sure flies!  Here are a few before pictures of the nursery and we will post 'after pictures' hopefully sooner than later!

So far the baby stuff has been piling up with all the gifts from family and friends.  We are grateful so far for car seats, play gym and lots of little clothes!  Time to get organized!  Good thing Mommy is an HGTV lover and Organizing Freak!
