Maternity Photo Fun @ Crissy Field!

It took only seconds to convince Daddy-to-be to do maternity and newborn photos since he doesn't hesitate on any expense for Bubbit.  We had some influence from our friends Heather and Kyle to do the photos and we are so glad we did.  We had our pregger photo session this past weekend at Crissy Field and we really enjoyed working with the photographer we chose - Darrell Lee - his website showcases his great work.   [http://www.darrellphotography.blogspot.com/#!/p/about-darrell.html].  We wanted to remember our time in San Francisco with Bubbit and remind Bubbit how he was made in Toronto, born in San Francisco and the rest of the world is next!

Always hanging out in the nursery...

Robert and I are anxiously awaiting Bubbit's arrival.  We are getting close to week 38 so the clock is definitely ticking and family members are ready to jump onto planes to come see Bubbit!  As we continue to wait and I continue to get more swollen and enduring big karate kicks we have been constantly visiting and hanging out in the nursery.  A few snapshots.

Uncle Justin & Auntie Kami's crib set gift which includes a very soft blanket!

Alphabet decals and wall hanging made by Mommy to be.

Robert loves this crib!  Grandma and Grandpa Lam's gift to Bubbit...we plan to put decals with his name between crib and animal decals when he arrives!

I call this the peaceful corner since the glider is the best thing we could have ever bought.  Soothing, calming and is already favorite piece of furniture in the house!

Jonathan Adler night light which will keep us from tripping around in the room!

Bottom left you can see a collection of planes and wood cars starting - these are Mommy to be collectors section.  Dad to be is Transformers of course on the other shelf across the room.

Dresser/change table from West Elm and the orange accents found in the lamp and wall hanging.  Transformers reluctantly on the shelf (grrrr...) but they will be removed to another special area of the house (closet hopefully) since diaper changing items need to go on the top of the shelf for quick access and handling!

Closer look...

Hope you enjoyed the mini tour of the nursery!  Hope you can come see it in person sooner than later!

Nursery all done!!! Special video for Grandma & Grandpa Lam and Uncle Justin

The nursery is all done and I'm glad I listened those around me to get it done earlier since it is getting harder and harder to move around with the big belly!

Enjoy the video and we hope you like the nursery!

Ordering NHL GameCentre

Bubbit is just a few days away from being here with us.  And Dad is thinking of celebrating with Bubbit by ordering NHL Gamecentre.  I have been looking for a Maple Leafs baby jersey for him, a Pink Jersey for Mommy to match Daddy's Jersey and for the Family photos.

Thinking forward, I am planning to take Bubbit to his first game as soon as we can.  I think he will love the ice and be a great little guy on the ice.  LOL...I guess he has to walk first...but nonetheless.

In the meanwhile, we will just have to do with Games Online.  It's a new season but I think that I have hope.  And Bubbit is going to be a good luck charm for the Leafs.  Can't wait to start!

Baby Bubbit Cupcakes to Die For!

Robert and I feel super lucky to be blessed with so many loving people around us.  We had our second baby shower today and this one was with family!  Auntie Ava and Auntie Andes did a great job co-hosting this shower and the food was healthy (constant theme in SF) and the ultimate best part was the cupcakes!  All the Uncles and Aunties along with cousins Jason, Angela and Big Boy 1 year old Daniel chatted it up and gave us lots of tips for Baby Bubbit to come.   Enjoy the pics!

Fabulous cup cake dessert with Bubbit's name!  Very nice surprise!

Left to right - Auntie Andes, Auntie Sarah, Mom to Be and Auntie Ava.

Lots of love for Baby Bubbit!

Cousins Jason, Angela and Baby Daniel who is a big 1 year old!

Auntie Ava slaving over the meal for the festivity.

Uncle Allan's gift for Bubbit - very cute outfit...looks like Uncle Allan would wear something similar :)

The feeling very nervous parents to be!

Thank you so much for the great baby shower...will always be in our memories.

Bubbit's Uncles and Aunties Multiplied When We Moved to San Francisco!

As part of our adventure from Toronto to San Francisco we had no idea what was in store for us in terms of an extended family.  Grandpa Lam asked Robert and I to contact his cousins in San Fran when we arrived and with one email we gained fabulous new family that embraced us with open arms!  I must say that Robert, Baby Bubbit and I were adopted as family very quickly and ever since that email I sent out to all the Aunties we have been lucky to feel lots of love.  Who would know Baby Bubbit's Auntie and Uncle's would multiply in an instant!   This blog post is to remind Bubbit when he is older that the family tree is quite extensive and all the Uncle and Auntie's in San Francisco were excited about his arrival!!!

From left to right back row - Uncle CC, Uncle Arthur, Uncle Allen, Uncle Bob, Uncle Whalun, Grandpa Lam; left to right front row - Mom to be, Auntie Ava, Grandma Lam, Auntie Andes, Auntie Pat, Auntie Christina and Auntie Sarah.

Bubbit's Beddy-by

We couldn't help ourselves we had to put together Bubbit's first little bed since the nursery has been the focus for last few days.  We have a crib on the way but compliments of our good friends Kyle (Kai Yee), Heather and Sidney we got this great Arm's Reach Co-sleeper which is small enough to be put right beside our bed for the first few nights/weeks when Bubbit comes home.  Compliments of Bubbit's Uncle Ho we used a stuffed ice cream sandwich (one of the toys for Bubbit) as a surrogate baby to see how this contraption will work.  Pretty easy to put together and fits just perfectly beside our bed.  We cannot wait until he comes home to test it out!

Blissful Baby Shower

Moving to San Francisco from Toronto Robert and I had no idea who we'd meet and get to know.  I was lucky enough to meet a bunch of wonderful ladies that will forever have an impact on my life journey out here in California.  As the typical typical workaholic I am I ended up volunteering at Bay Area Climate Collaborative/Silicon Valley Leadership Group and the City and County of San Francisco Environment Department and met 5 fabulous, dynamic, intelligent (list can go on) women - (left to right) Diana, Rachel, Mari, Akima and Bena.  Not only did we enjoy working together, we managed to really enjoy each other's company and found a way to squeeze in lots of laughs and fun together.  I cannot thank Rachel enough for holding a baby shower for me and Bubbit.  If you cannot see the spread it was a delicious and healthy meal but the carrot cake topped it off PERFECTLY!  Thank you ladies for making my pregnancy in San Francisco enjoyable, memorable & bearable.  Will forever remember the great moments we had together.  Don't change your phone numbers since babysitters will be wanted!!!

Like Father, Like Son

Robert is eager to get Bubbit into all the toys that a REAL boy needs to enjoy.  Robert managed to hunt down at Target an Optimus Prime that is made for Toddlers (toy on the left and the one on the right is an 'adult' collector Optimus Prime).  The accumulation of  toys from Uncle Haung and Father to be has caused Mom to be to buy a toy box...Bubbit isn't even born yet!!!  Scary thing is the possibility of comic books...
